On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, Fred Bjarnason passed away suddenly at his home, at the age of 73 years. Born in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Fred was the youngest of three boys. He spent many years in the trucking industry and had owned and operated his own rig. Fred enjoyed spending time on his acreage and with his horses, spending many happy hours trail riding in the mountains.

Fred is survived by his wife Cindy, his four children, Bryan (Susan), Lisa, Jamie (Susan) and Trevor (Julie), and leaves behind his eight grandchildren, Christie (Chris), Jenna, Brandon, Sheldon (Sarah), Mackenzie, Taylor, Sierra and Ty; and six great grandchildren, Nathan, Cameron, Preston, Zoey, Zavier and Sheydon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Victoria, and by his brothers, Matt and Lee.

A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held at Lyalta Community Centre and Recreation Facility (General Delivery, Lyalta, AB T0J 1Y0) on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
