True Love, Simply

I truly believe this beautiful woman was an angel on earth disguised as "Maria". When I first met this family back in May of 1986, I thought to myself, this family is different, but in a unique kind of way. It's their traditional beliefs and family values that really intrigued me. I have never met a more traditional family as the "Aiello's". When I met Maria, there was a purity to her then, 32 years ago, which was still present today. She was the kindest person you would ever want to meet, never a cross word to or about anyone. Her heart was pure love, and she truly loved her "family". So much so, she took second place to everyone and anyone, always in their shadow. There always seemed to be some kind of crisis going on in the family, and there she was, the glue, holding it all together or fixing something which was broken, simply with her demeaner, her words, her gentleness as only she can do. She was strong, yet gentle. Firm, yet fair. Calm and unwaivering. We all eventually saw things her way, because of her gentle nature. Maria always had kind words for everyone, no matter what! She was a careing and giving individual, and gave of her time, whenever, whatever, without complaining, no matter what! The "Family" was her way, no matter what! It has only been a few days since she was taken from us, and I truly miss that beautiful woman and always will, no matter what!! There is nothing left to say now but goodbye. Nana, I am truly a better person today just because of the influence you have instilled in me. You are in God's home now, may he shower you with his love and kindness as you have for all here. You are truly an Angel. You are gone now, but will never be forgotten.
