School bus memory

My siblings and I wish to send condolences to the family. Linda, Leonard and I , Beverly (Mann) rode the same school bus to River Glen School in Red Deer as Larry and his brother Gordon. My earliest school bus memories include the two Dunn boys who, in a few short strides would navigate the stile at the fence to get to the school bus. The gate on the lane way was usually closed and with their youth and long lanky legs they were able to vault over the fence without breaking a stride. Larry was put in charge of the bus register to take attendance as each child got on the bus. He sat in a front bus seat with clipboard and pencil and needless to say the recording of attendance was always done perfectly. Thanks for including the obituary in the Red Deer Advocate.
