Obituary for Linda Jane Praud (Honeyborne)
PRAUD, Linda Jane (Cherkas, Honeyborne), October 8, 1947 - Toronto, Ontario, March 24, 2017, Calgary, Alberta. Linda passed away peacefully on Friday March 24th 2017 after a 20-month journey with cancer. She is survived by her husband Ken Praud of Calgary, brother Robert (Barb) Honeyborne of Lakewood California, and sons, Terry (Christa) Cherkas of Crossfield, AB and Tony Cherkas of White Rock, BC. Linda will be remembered as someone who enjoyed painting, reading and horses.
Our family wishes to say a very special thank you to all the staff at the Dulcina Hospice in Calgary, who made Linda's last months comfortable. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a hospice of your choice.
At Linda's request, there will be no formal service, a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at the Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church southwest of Carstairs, Alberta, on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
The church is located at the intersection of Highway 580 and Range Road 30. Directions, from Calgary, Highway 2 North to exit 305, a short distance West to Highway 2A, North to Highway 580, then West approximately 9 miles. Alternately, Highway 1A (Crowchild Trail) to Highway 766, North 25 miles to Highway 580, then East 1 mile.
