Obituary for Lawrence Wirsch
Lawrence Wirsch passed away on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at the age of 87.
On March 29, 2017 it became time for me to travel to the heavens to meet up with my beloved wife Val, who left for her great journey September 5, 2009. I’ve missed her with every breath I take, she was, is and always will be my soul mate.
My life journey began in 1929 and through the joys and sorrows of living, I started to learn what was most important in this world. When I met Val, with her grace I found me. Together we worked tirelessly to help our family grow into the wonderful people they now are. How lucky I have been.
To my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; there is a special place in my heart for all of you and I will carry it with me always. You have your own lives now with your own families and I am grateful to have had so many opportunities to spend time with each of you. Walk with your heads held high and be proud of all you have accomplished.
As I explore the great unknown with your Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma know we will always be with you in heart, in soul and in spirit. We are and remain forever more, together.
I loved in the best way I knew how. For every one of you who were part of my life, from the many friends who crossed my path, to the family members that haven’t been named here, and to my four legged pals that were so important to me, know how much you touched my soul and helped me to
grow. Thank you.
Now, if I could be so bold as to share with you part of what life has taught me:
You do exist so make something wonderful happen on this day to start your own legacy. Enjoy the fact that you are and have lived your life in your own eminently particular way. It's a path that was written for you a long time ago, unknown to any of us. Your mother and I did our part the best way we could, the rest rests in your hands to bring you this far. So, from me to you all, I realize I have so much to be happy about, even amid so many rough spots, and although it may be cloudy today, there is always sunshine somewhere.
