Condolence: I am late in reading this - but so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I met him on various Liberal campaigns and at Liberal functions. I always enjoyed our conversations. He had a great sense of humour along with strong liberal values. A great guy. So sorry for your loss - and the liberals' loss too. I'm glad he saw Justin Trudeau form government and 4 Liberal MPs elected in Alberta. R.I.P. Michael.

Condolence: I met Michael when I was traveling around Europe in 1987. He opened up his Paris apartment to me whenever I was passing through. I ended up staying in Paris for the bulk of my trip because of Michaels generous spirit and infectious humour. He was so much fun to be around. We continued our friendship when he and Virginia moved to Toronto. I enjoyed listening to Michaels views of the world. We continued to talk after the family moved to Calgary, but the focus of our conversations became Erik and Marie. He was so proud of them! I am sad that we've lost such an interesting, caring, and unique spirit, and I will never forget his kindness and generosity.

Condolence: Michael had reached middle-age, but was always young at heart and up for new ideas. I will miss our serious conversations about many subjects and his hearty laughter over a quick comeback. It was good to know him as a friend.
