Condolence: Doug worked at EauVIvre Winery & Vineyards in the last few years and became a dear friend to the family. He was a conscientious worker and always went above and beyond. He was always Generous & Giving in Spirit and enjoyed making people smile, whether it be with treating us to coffee & dougnuts or cracking a few jokes.. Doug had a FAB funny bone and we all could look forward to sharing a good laff when he was around. He had a way with words, especially liked to Pun and could run with a pun endlessly. He truest had the gift of Gab and could talk your ear off if you let him 😉 I enjoyed his witty comebacks and will deeply miss our interactions and conversations. I will miss his fatherly advice, his clear perspective and call it as he saw it philosophy, he said what he meant and meant what he said. He was an eternal Optimist for the most part, with a Big Heart ❤️ My son and I always enjoyed being invited to dinner, a guaranteed good time and shared many FAB meals in Cawston. He enjoyed the good things in life, and enjoyed sharing his good taste with good food & good company,. Doug was One of a Kind ❤️ All Aces

Condolence: I too remember Doug's sense of humour from the time I lived with my Aunt Ollie and Uncle Nick Nicholson. I'm sure Ryan, Lindsay and Kelsey and their children have many happy memories of their dad and grandpa and will forever keep his memory alive. My condolences to all of Doug's family, friends and loved ones.

Condolence: I'm saddened that I cannot attend Doug's Celebration of Life. I especially wanted to express my love and support to Val as well as honour Doug and support their beloved children. I know Doug was a good man because he loved you. I also seem to recall he had a twinkle in his eye. Sending my love, Wendy
