I never knew my father as much as I would of liked to. My memory of him is a tall, handsome and athletic man. I met him once when I was 15 in Winnipeg where he introduced me to little Shayne and Deanna. I didn’t see him or his other children again after that but always thought of them and wondered if they thought of me Last year I finally had the courage to search for Shayne and Deanna on social media and I after 34 years, I was reconnected with them only to find out that they did think of me all the time. I then found my father on Facebook and we sent a few words back and forth over the past year. My aunts and uncles would tell me their stories that they remember if Don back in the day and how he was a great ball player, a jokester and had a great barracuda car with no door handles I would hold these stories close to me heart as I had no real memories of my own, just a few pictures of him holding me as a very young child. I am glad he had a loving wife by his side as he passed away I hope that he thought of me and had a place for me close to his heart. I have two amazing sons Hunter and Dawson that I wish he could of met Life doesn’t always turn out how you want it but I did have a Dad out there and I hope he knows that I thought of him almost everyday and wondered if he thought of me as well I will always be grateful to have reconnected with little Shayne and Deanna who are now amazing adults with children of their own I went to Winnipeg last summer and met them again for the first time in over 35 years I was amazed of the family resemblance I will miss my biological father everyday and hope he knew that I never stopped loving him or thinking about him Rest In Peace Dad and watch over us with a loving heart ❤️

Don was a great and loyal friend. Never one to shy away from sticking up for the little guy.

Don loved to fish with friends and family either pulling in the big ones or just sitting with a line in the water sharing a joke or old Navy story.

Really enjoyed my visit with Don at the end of October. He appreciated the hand made card from Little Ailis.
