Rooney, Michael "Mike" Thomas
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Michael Thomas Rooney passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 85. He is survived by his soulmate, beloved wife and dancing partner of 58 years, Edna; three daughters, of which he always called his angels...Karen (Mike), Michele (Dave) and Joanne (Peter); six grandchildren, Dustin (Annie), Dylan, Kayla (Josh), Emilie (Jake), Zachary and Sara, and one great grandson, Kaiser. His greatest accomplishment was his family. He was an avid golfer, and a great one too! Mike had many friends, a beautiful kind heart and an amazing sense of humour. We will Love you Always and Miss you Forever.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Danish Canadian Club in the Tivoli Room from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
We would like to thank all of the Doctors and Nurses who took care of Mike during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike’s memory to Canadian Lung Association
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial.
