Wilfred "Clive" Cracknell
October 6, 1930 - March 31, 2019
Clive Cracknell, longtime resident of Calgary, passed away March 31, 2019. Born October 6, 1930, Clive spent his early years in Winnipeg. He received a scholarship to attend the University Oklahoma where in graduated in 1952. He worked for Union Oil for his entire career until he retired in 1982. Clive loved the outdoors which included riding motorcycles, snow skiing, hiking and waterskiing. Whenever possible he went out to their cabin in Windermere. He also enjoyed their annual trips to Hawaii for many years.
Clive is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Charlene, grandson Vincent and sister Alismay Thompson. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur, father Wilfred, and mother Jean.
Condolences can be expressed in person on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Auburn Heights Retirement Residences (21 Auburn Bay Street SE, Calgary). If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Clive may be made to your charity of choice.
