Tischer, Albert (Al) Charles
November 1, 1936 – February 28, 2019
Al Tischer passed away at age 82 after a short fight with pancreatic cancer. Al was born in Leduc Alberta to Emil and Christine Tischer as the eighth of nine children and grew up on the farm near Leduc’s Blackmud Coulee. Al worked for 28 years for TransAlta Utilities in Marketing and Communication positions retiring in 1993.
Al leaves wife, Linda; daughters, Lynnette Whitfield, Calgary & Cyndi Tischer, Ottawa; brother, Ed (Norma) Calgary and sisters, Inga Gingras, Leduc & Helga Newman, Ponoka. He was predeceased by his father & mother; sisters, Eleanor, Ruby, Hannah and brothers, Helmut & Henry. Big Al will be remembered by all for his adventuresome spirit, gourmet cooking skills and his amazing sense of humour.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday April 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Brentview Baptist Church, 3512 Charleswood Drive NW. Donations may be made in Al’s memory to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation
