Today and forever we celebrate the life of Andrew Mensah. Child of God, Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Mentor and Friend.

You’ll never meet anyone like Andrew…

Anyone who knows Andrew has experienced his unconditional love, generosity, encouragement, and enduring friendship. The hole that he has been left is deeply felt because of the profound imprint he’s placed on the hearts of people all over the world.

Many who hardly knew Andrew felt the radiance of his pure heart and were drawn to his kind spirit. You couldn’t help but want to be like him.

Husband and Best Friend
Andrew was a faithful loving husband and best friend to the love of his life, his wife Natashia. Their love story began 14 years ago and since that time, they have been on the beautiful adventure of marriage for the past 9 years. On their journey together, they have walked side-by-side doing everything together from raising their kids to pursing entrepreneurial endeavors, travelling the world and keeping their gaze fixed on an expansive vision of serving God with hearts full of love to help people however they could.

Best Daddy in the World
When Andrew looked at his kids, you could see his eyes fill with awe and amazement for who they are, and hopes and dreams for all they would become. He loved his 4 children with a powerful, enduring and unconditional love. Malakhi (8), Angelo (6), Isaiah (5) and daddy’s little princess, Selah (3) will always know their dad as a father who was a steadfast rock in their lives and always there for them. Andrew’s loving and fun nature made laughter burst from his kids’ bellies when he played with them and a confident maturity would rise up in his children, as he faithfully taught them the fundamental importance of having a Christ-centred life. Daddy’s daily faith-filled and encouraging words will continue to mold and shape their hearts as they become confident and loving world conquerors that he knew they would become.

A Son Forever
From day one, Andrew’s life began to take shape being raised in the loving arms of his beautiful parents Dacosta and Rose Mensah. Andrew has been deeply loved by his parents and in-laws Laurie Paul; and John and Bernadette Paul. Having Andrew as a son meant he was always thinking, planning and praying about how best to lift burdens off of his parents and in-laws so that they could enjoy life with more peace and freedom.

Brother Like No Other
When Andrew reminisced about his childhood, it was filled with memories of his growing years and with being with his siblings, Kojo, Kofi, Crystal and Kwesi. His stories would take you back to lasting memories of them dancing, laughing and feasting together. Andrew’s in-laws Alanzo and Khadija Paul, and Rachel Wilkins are all grateful beyond measure to call Andrew their brother and to be part of his life and family. If Andrew had something wonderful to share, he always wanted to figure out a way to get it to his brothers and sisters. Andrew brought people together making many families, one.

Everyone’s Best Friend and a Mentor of Mentors
One of the best ways to describe Andrew is, magnetic. There was an unusually welcoming light that shone from him and it illuminated so many people’s lives. He will always be remembered as the guy who asked a series of heaven inspired thought-provoking questions and one would always secretly hope to get caught up with one of Andrew’s “question whirlwinds” because you knew when the wind stopped that he had brought out the best in you. Andrew’s God inspired love for people gave him a gift to see the gold in people, even if they didn’t see it themselves. His ability to see so deeply into someone’s life motivated him to pray for them with all of his heart and to encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and reach for a higher way of living. His perfectly tuned attentive ear for listening together with his inspiring words were somehow always what one needed to hear. Andrew helped many people who desired to go down an entrepreneurial path start a business and challenged them to fearlessly go after their God-given purpose. If he didn’t respond to a text message or phone call, it’s only because he was busy helping someone else in that moment… Andrew will forever be remembered as being relentless in his thinking about and helping people in their time of need.

Though his time with us here on Earth feels as if it was far too short, God blessed us and our world richly with a wonderful Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Mentor, Friend and ever faithful man of God. Both he and his legacy will live on in our hearts forever. You’ll never meet anyone like Andrew…
