Raymond Charles Best

Raymond Charles Best of Calgary Alberta passed away into heaven on November 3, 2018 at the age of 64.

Raymond was born on March 9, 1954 in Calgary to Herbert and Alice (Cowley) Best. He was the oldest of seven children, predeceased by baby Sherry in June 1962. He was married to Linda (Graffunder) Best on May 17, 1975 and they were together for 43 years. Over his lifetime he ranched, worked in the lumber industry and in the oil and gas industry until he took on long term disability in 2004 due to increased health distress.

He was a proud and loving father of four children and six grandchildren. Raymond's legacy lives on through Valerie (Dave), Fred (Tasha), Jennifer (Mark) and Colin. He adored his grandchildren Samantha, Aurora, Elizabeth, Nathan, Piper and Deklan.

Raymond will also fondly be remembered by his five siblings Wayne (Marleen), Brian (Nancy), Darlene, Kevin (Michelle) and Lynda (Clay), and many nieces and nephews. Memories will also linger with his many uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Oak Park Church of Christ (11263 Oakfield Drive SW Calgary, Alberta). Urn burial of will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are gratefully accepted by Pine Lake Christian Camp (www.pinelakechristiancamp.com) or Alberta Bible College (www.abccampus.ca).
