Ruth Tannberg
April 6th, 1936 - November 4th, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Tannberg on November 4th, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta following her struggle with cancer. She was 82 years old.

Ruth was born in Germany on April 6th, 1936. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 where she owned and operated a successful Beauty Salon. Ten years later, she fell in love with Hawaii and decided to make that her permanent residence. She lived in Honolulu for 41 years enjoying the tropical environment and the relaxed atmosphere.

In March of 2018, Ruth was diagnosed with cancer. As with everything else she did, she met the challenge head on and fought to regain her health. The cancer however, was too aggressive and her condition deteriorated quickly. The decision was made to move back to Canada to spend her final days with her family.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Margit (Roland) and three grandchildren; Kristina (Eli), Jake and Kevin and two great grandchildren; Karena and Melody. She will be lovingly remembered for her positive attitude and endless helpfulness.

A memorial service will be held in Calgary at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at 2:00pm. The family invites you to bring stories to share.
