Obituary for Victor John Whitell

Victor John Whitell
August 10, 1990 - September 28, 2018

Victor Whitell passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 28. Victor will be forever loved and remembered by his father David (Carley) Whitell; mother Deanne Sims (Jariot); brother Ryan (Allegra) Whitell; sister Alexis Whitell; maternal grandparents Victor Sims and Eleanor Hebein; paternal grandparents John and Dorothy Whitell; aunts and uncles Candy and Don, Janice, Ed and Mary-Lou; and numerous cousins.

Vic was a savant who could master anything that he picked up. He played numerous instruments, all self taught, and he did so in multiple bands. He was exceptional at golf and skateboarding. Skated with incredible speed during his years playing hockey. He could do Yo-Yo and Kendama tricks that would amaze anyone, solve a Rubik's Cube in under 30 seconds and with his eyes closed. Victor was an early YouTube partner before he stopped making videos, he could have pursued that to fame if he wanted to. He was hilarious and could always make people laugh. But his greatest talent was his art and animations. Through that talent Vic gave us a glimpse of how he saw the world. The very unique and genius mind Victor had allowed him to excel at everything he tried, unfortunately it was also his downfall- he was sensitive. He tried his best to cope with his view the world, battling addictions most of his adult life. But he did battle. He never gave up. And his family never gave up on him. We all believed Victor would one day have the beautiful life he so deserved.

Victor was truly a good person with a good soul. All he wanted to do was entertain and make people happy through his many talents. And he succeeded in that. There will never be another one like him.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Donations in Victor's name can be made to any Mental Health and Addictions foundations of your choosing.
