It is with great sadness and deep sorrow, that the family of James "Jim" Anton Erick announces his passing in Calgary AB on August 11th 2018 at the age of 87. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Carol Courtney and his step-children Brenda Woodward and Richard (Cori) Terry; and his 8 children with Evelyn, Maureen (Don), Cathy, Melinda (Alan), Sheldon (Alice), Randy (Joan), Jeff (Lynnae), Julie and Chris (Angela); surviving siblings Mildred (Bill), George (Barbra), Donnie, Gerome (Sandy), Gail (Terry); 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren, with 1 on the way; and his two beautiful puppies Tanga and Gracie. Jim will also be forever missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Jim was predeceased by his loving parents Bartel Erick, and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Erick; sisters Bonita, and Marlene; brother William; and grand-daughter Shannon.

Jim was born and raised in Estevan Saskatchewan. Moved to Calgary taking a job at Burnco Rock Products for 35 years as a crusher operator. Upon retiring, Jim and Carol moved to Beiseker, Alberta where Jim managed Beiseker Trailer Court until he retired this past April.

A Service will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church 5552 Madigan Drive NE Calgary AB on Thursday August 16th 2018 at 1pm with a luncheon to follow.
