Obituary for Sonny (Eugene) Breton

Sonny (Eugene) Breton
BRETON, Sonny (Eugene)
November 15, 1940 - July 25, 2018

Eugene Breton passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta.

Eugene is survived by his wife Lorraine of 58 years, daughter Nova Lee (Paul) Turner, and son Michael (Tara) Breton. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much: Mark Turner, Jeffery Hagel, Kyle (Mallory) Turner, Christopher (Emilka) Turner, Travis Breton, and Paige Breton. Eugene would always be smiling when he was around his four great-grandchildren Serenity Cates, Severyn, Lochlan, and Azalia Turner.

Eugene came from a large family of 13 children and is survived by his five sisters and five brothers Dora, Eunice, Paula, Carol, Alma, Bernie, Laverne, Dwight, Ronald, and Jerry.
He is predeceased by his daughter Denise, parents Jack and Rose, and two brothers Jackie and Walter.

Eugene was born on the homestead and lived for many years in the Big Muddy badlands of Saskatchewan, before relocating to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, then on to Calgary, Alberta. He loved reminiscing about growing up during simpler times in the Big Muddy along with its history.

Eugene’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at the AgeCare Midnapore for caring and supporting Eugene and his family.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bonavista Downs Community Association, 1418 Lake Ontario Road SE, Calgary, AB on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 2 PM until 4 PM.
