Obituary for Tyler Henry Wirch

Tyler Henry Wirch
Tyler Wirch
February 15, 1976 - May 8, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tyler Wirch at Carewest Garrison Green, Calgary at the age of 42.

Tyler is survived by his parents Harold and Glenys Wirch; brother Jason (Rhonda Lee); nephew Darien and niece Saphire; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins Patty, Darcy, Bernie, Phillip, Dorothy, Ken, Ron, Anne, Lauren, Allison, and Leland.

After a courageous battle of more than 20 years with progressive MS and a cure was not to be, the Lord saw he was tired and said “come with me”. He is now free of pain and can fly with the eagles.

Tyler accepted his challenge with grace. He was determined right from the beginning to never question what was handed to him; to cope with and never complain, but instead to lead as normal a life as possible; to continue his path and yearning to learn and experience life to the fullest during all stages of this disease, and to appreciate, cherish, and love life. His love for his friends and caregivers had no limits.

He somehow managed all this with a heart of gold, a great sense of humour, and a sweet smile on his face. He made so many friends along the way, who clearly discovered and recognized in him such an exceptionally brave, up-beat, caring and loving young man. And even as his disease progressed, severely restricting his ability to be as independent as before; having to cope with evermore frequent and increasing health issues and concerns connected with pain, he again faced this last transition of his life stoically, never surrendering, but appreciating the help and love given by others, and returning the same to those caring and helping hands.

He will forever be in the hearts of those he touched.

In keeping with Tyler's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time but rather, a gathering of family and friends this autumn at the Mountain Park Cemetery.

Rest in peace Tyler and may the Lord guide you as you fly with the eagles.
