Molfrid (Freddie) Synnove Bye was born in Coronation, Alberta on October 15, 1932, and was raised on her parents’ farm in the Coronation area. She attended Camrose Lutheran College before becoming employed as a secretary in both Edmonton and Calgary. She married her husband, Daniel Alfred Ahern in Calgary in 1959, and it is here she put her energy into raising her family for the next 35 years. Daniel Ahern passed away in 1994. In 1997, Freddie married Bernard Jubinville and shared the next 13 years together. Throughout her life Freddie thoroughly enjoyed dancing, trailering, and taking cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. She enjoyed spending time socializing with her friends, family, and relatives while always sharing her kind, gentle way with a smile.

Freddie was an active volunteer in the Catholic Church community for years, primarily at Sacred Heart Church. During the last 20 years of her life, Freddie belonged to the Latin Mass Community in Calgary. She was a very prayerful person and lived her life accordingly.

Freddie is survived by her three children: Wayne (Karen) Ahern and sons, Graydon and Garrett; Tim Ahern and children, Daniel, Macalyn, and Drake; and Marlene Ahern. She also leaves her step-sister Eleanor Kolisnyk; brother-in-law, Jerry Ahern (Jeannette Wirsta), as well as many other extended relatives and friends.
Freddie was predeceased by her parents, Sverre and Olina Bye, her first husband Daniel Ahern; second husband, Bernard Jubinville; her brother Arnold Bye, sister-in-law, Muriel Bye, sister Mable Sallee, sister Eva Erickson, brother-in-law Henry Erickson, and sister-in-law Rose Ahern.
