That's NOT a Berry!

I don’t have any bad memories of Stacy he was always very good to me and made sure I was safe…except for that one time in Golden.  We were teenagers and had gone with family to spend some time with Auntie Linda and Uncle Harry.  Stacy convinced me to go for a walk in the dark on the mountain with a flashlight, I of course being me was scared and said I don’t think it’s a good idea what if we get lost, what if someone’s lurking out there, what if there is a BEAR!!  He told me to suck it up and stop whining, so I did and off we went.  We had been walking for about 15 minutes in the dark when we spotted some berries and decided to have a snack.  Stacy had the flashlight on the bush so we could see and we both reached out for the same large berry when it moved.  It was a SPIDER…Stacy screamed and dropped the flashlight and his jacket and took off leaving me there in there dark.  I fumbled around unable to see and tripped and fell.  He called out to me from the road below and told me to follow the sound of his voice and to bring his jacket with me lol!!

I’ll miss you, you were a good person with a good heart.
