AL SCHMIDT
May 13, 1936 – February 7, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al (Adolf) Schmidt of Calgary.

Al was a long-time employee with Air Canada who enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He and Anne immigrated from Germany in 1959. He was looking forward to the great fishing. He became a big hockey fan, rock hound and recreational paleontologist.

He will be remembered for his upbeat, friendly personality, his eagerness to lend a helping hand where needed, and for always having a good joke to share.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Anneliese; children, Heidi (husband John); son, John; grandkids Brennan and Keegan; and their dog, Lexy.

Please join us as we celebrate Al's life and share some stories. Saturday April 27, 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Phoenix Room at the Dalhousie Community Association (5432 Dalhart Rd. NW).

As expressions of sympathy, memorials or donations may be made in Al’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Dreams Take Flight.
