September 6, 1953 - Sunday, February 10, 2019
With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved father Leslie Michael Smith on February 10, 2019, at 5:00 am at Chinook Hospice, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his two children Tanya Parsley and Travis Smith, and long-time friend Barbara Owen.
Les lived his life according to each moment and loved to experience adventures, including a yearly family trip to his favourite fishing lake at Wendego Lodge. Les was an incredible father who loved his children unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with his family. He would lend his ear to anyone who needed it, and would generously help the people he cared about. Les loved his cat Odin and his dog Bear, and the companionship they gave back to him. If you knew Les, he admired a good sense of humour and liked to see the smile on his loved-one's face as he made his subtle jokes. We will miss our father everyday and will remember growing up with strong memories.
