Riley, Leslie Margaret
March 8, 1964 – October 20, 2018

With shock and deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Leslie Riley on Saturday, October 20th. Leslie leaves to mourn a large immediate family in her beloved daughter Jessica Riley and grandson Ethan Riley; mother Shannon and step-father Harold Cundal; sister Lorene Riley (Chris Maschke); brother Eric Nordman (Judy) and their family - daughter Megan (Brian) Patterson and granddaughter Ivy, son Leif Nordman, and daughter Karli Nordman; brother Dean Riley; brother Harold Cundal Jr; brother Greg Cundal; brother Dylan Riley (Shelley) and their family, daughter Fiona and son Cormac; and brother Lance Riley Jr (Ashley) and their son Aden. Leslie also leaves behind an extended family of loving aunts, uncles, and countless cousins who meant the world to her, as well as a massive circle of friends whom she also considered family. Leslie was predeceased by her father, Lance Riley, in 1993.

People were the most important part of Leslie's world. Any visit or chat instantly brought that unmistakable laugh and smile that we all loved. She was always ready with words of encouragement or advice and she was always the first one to pitch in when someone needed help. She loved dancing, was passionate about music, gardening, and even incessant cleaning, but she was most passionate about spending time with her best friend and grandson, Ethan. He lit up her world and she was so proud of the way Jessica is raising him.

A Celebration of Leslie’s life will be held at Mount Pleasant Community Centre (602-22 Ave NW) on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Details will be updated once confirmed.
