Rod MacDonald
March 25th, 1966 - November 13th, 2018

If he could have, Rod would have started this day with "Happy Tuesday", but unfortunately Rod passed away on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 with his family and his special angel Amy by his side.

Everyone knew Rod as a strong man, a self-employed self-starter, a father of three, a G-Pa to Audrey, a nerd, and a man with a great sense of humour. He was a man who helped others become healthy and stronger for a living and for fun. He was a lover of good food and always thanked God for it every day. Rod was always positive, happy and a man of faith. He served a two year mission in Korea with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also very proud of his Scottish and Polish Heritage.

Rod will be forever loved and remembered by his mom Tere (Terry); dad Bob "Pinky"; sons Brayden and Zach; daughter Brityn (Wouter); their mother Stephanie; granddaughter Audrey; his brother Bob and his nephew Bobby;; his very special love Amy; and Rod's extended family, Brenda and Brett in Winnipeg and of course his family's adopted "Nicki". He will also be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins, especially his "favourite cousin" Michelle. Words cannot express the "special bond" he had with his best friend Ty and the Nicholl family. Rod was predeceased by his Grandma and Grandpa Karpinski and Nipper.

Thanks to Unit 94 at the Rocky View Hospital for all their help during this trying time. Lastly, a very Special Thanks to Tod and Rob for their support and also to all those who donated to Rod's Gofundme.

A celebration of Rod's life is being planned for in 2019. Details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Go Fund Me “Mac’s Team
to help further his children's education. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Rod please visit www.choicememorial.com. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (403) 277-7343.
