Leslie Mary Vargek (nee Woods)
June 27 1949 - August 30 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leslie Vargek at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Forever loved and remember by her son Edward ( Bonnie) Vargek, son Patrick (Vanessa) Vargek, daughter Deanna Vargek and daughter-in-law Bunny Swanson, as well as 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Leslie was predeceased by her loving husband Bruce Garrou and son Richard Woods (Vargek).
Leslie only lived in Okotoks for 4 years but people will remember her in her pink hat, pink coat, and many rings on all fingers, as well as her two dogs Max and Bud. Leslie embraced life with kindness and mercy, she was truly loved and will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12, 2018 at 2 pm at the Freedom Centre Church (4925 134 Ave NW) in Edmonton, Alberta.
