The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Suzanne Flemming can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Neighbours

Peter and I have been next-door neighbours with Suzanne and Greg for 21 years.  That’s 21 amazing years of the best next-door neighbours ever!  One of my first memories after moving in is a knock on our back door at 11:00p.m. one night.  It was Suzanne inviting us over for fresh scallops!  She had just arrived back from the East Coast with fresh scallops and graciously invited her new neighbours over.  Of course, we have since learned that while 11:00 p.m. is bedtime for me and Peter, 11:00 p.m. was dinnertime for Suzanne and Greg!

I so enjoyed chit-chatting with Suzanne over the backyard fence.  We would dissect what was going on in the neighbourhood.  OK, OK, maybe it was “gossiping” (as Greg and Peter pointed out many times!)  Uh oh, I hope the other neighbours don’t read this!

One of the things I am going to miss the most is being in our backyard and hearing “Hi Bren!”  I’d look up and there would be Suzanne, on her back deck, with a glass of wine and a huge smile.  God, I’m going to miss that.

Suzanne and Greg have been the very best next-door neighbours anyone could hope for.   Greg, we cherish your friendship and our hearts go out to you at this time.  Life is definitely not going to be the same around here without Suzanne’s smiley face.
