Bruce Clayton Cameron
February 24, 1952 – August 23, 2018

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at Foothills Hospital with his family by his side on August 23, 2018.

Bruce was born in Kamloops, B.C. and attended school in Barriere, B.C. After his marriage to Marlene, they both moved to Calgary. Bruce worked at Greyhound Lines of Canada as a driver until his retirement. He made many dear friends while at Greyhound and looked forward to having coffee every Wednesday with his Greyhound buddies at McDonald’s. He loved woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Caravans West in Scotch Creek, B.C.

He is survived by his wife Marlene, his children Ryan (Bonnie) and Tamara (Brent), and his beautiful granddaughters, Ti’ana, Somer and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by his brother Warren (Regena) of Kamloops, B.C. and sister Brenda (Ken) Bloomfield of Kamloops, B.C., as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Forrest and Rose Cameron.

His family spends special thanks to his doctors, Dr. Sameer Qureshi and Dr. Vincent Tam, to his palliative care team and to the nurses and doctors at the Foothills Hospital who attended to him through the last difficult days of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calgary Church of Christ (4030 Maryvale Drive NE) on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
