June 19, 1934 - Monday, July 16, 2018
Keitha Dian Beers, beloved wife of Donald Beers of Calgary, passed away at Bow View Manor on July 16, 2018 at the age of 84.
Always in our hearts, Keitha also leaves behind two daughters Keitha Cathleen (Dwane) Glubrecht and Christine Beers (Al Dunham), as well as two granddaughters Mariya, and Katrina. Keitha was predeceased by her parents William and Signe and siblings, Jack, Malcolm, and Jeannette.
Keitha met Don, the love of her life, as they obtained Bachelor degrees at the University of Alberta. After getting married in 1958, they taught in Calmar and Thorsby, and then moved to Calgary. Keitha worked as a teacher, then after raising her girls, as a records management clerk. Kind and compassionate, Keitha volunteered and helped others throughout her life. She loved spending time with family, gardening, hiking, volunteering, playing the piano, and playing bridge.
No words can express our gratitude to Dr. Rodney Place for his exceptional care over the years. Thank you to everyone who supported Keitha, including the Foothills Hospital Stroke Ward, the Oncology Department, Bow View Manor, and Qualicare Calgary.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Westview Baptist Church (1313 Ranchlands Way NW, Calgary) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Keitha’s favorite charity, Cause Canada: www.cause.ca. Under “Order Notes”, please indicate you are donating in her honour.
