Obituary for Paul Richard Bessette

Paul Richard Bessette
Paul Bessette
October 17th, 1967 - June 17th, 2018

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Paul on Sunday June 17 due to complications from a heart attack.

Paul is survived by his partner Gina Wilkie; his Mom and sister; Marti and Caroline (aka Byzzod); daughter Kate; son Nash; the mother of his children Geanette Phillips; and an army of friends and relatives whose lives will be less joyful without Paul. Paul was predeceased by his Father, Gerald Bessette, in November 2001.

Paul was one of the best couriers the City of Calgary has ever seen, with a career spanning 30 years, and the Purolator Courier family will miss his happy-go-lucky jovial disposition. Paul’s positive outlook was contagious and anyone who knew him was sure to love his quirky ways and never-ending willingness to help anyone in need.

Paul loved his children, his family and his friends, and he loved nothing better than some good fire pit time with others, a cold beer, and lots of laughter. A good steak brought a big smile to his face just as much as some good odds on Sports Select did.

Heaven now has our funny, sweet, amazing Paul, and we can all rest assured he’ll be taking care of us from afar. Rest in peace, Paul, you will be forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion #284 (606 38th Avenue NE) on Saturday June 23rd at 1:00pm. Please dress comfortably and come share your stories about Paul.
