Condolence: Blair was a high school chum. We travelled on many sport teams together on a school bus. We shared many academic classes. He was one of the nice guys. Always a gentleman he was a person who was above the fray of high school life. He was respectful to, and respected by, teachers, friends and opponents. He was a person who could be counted on and always seemed to happy with life. He was fully committed to the activities he was involved in. He played hard and worked hard. In retrospect, these and his many other qualities made him a fine man and gave me many fond memories. I am deeply saddened that he is no longer on this earth and that his family will not have his company and guidance over the next few decades. My sympathies to you all.

Condolence: I’m another one of Blair’s Bathurst friends. We listened to music and went to concerts, played cards, played every kind of pick-up sport imaginable including some that we invented ourselves, followed the Expos closely and played on the same high school basketball team, BHS. Despite not keeping in constant touch over the years, whenever we did connect, nothing had changed. About a month ago we spoke on the phone and caught up on things. It was a gift. This news hit all of his old buddies hard. He was a great friend, always respectful, fun to be with and a really good guy. We just have so many great memories of the times we had together. Deepest condolences to Karen, Taylor and Sean as well as to his parents and brothers.

Condolence: We are stunned and saddened by Blair's passing. We met Blair through our sister-in-law Cheryl, and enjoyed his company at many family celebrations. Blair was a stand-up guy. He was quick with a welcome hug or handshake. Blair was easy to talk to, and easy to spend time with. We know life won't be the same without him. Condolence: I have many fond memories of growing up with Blair in Bathurst. We lived down the street from one another, and our parents and families were well acquainted. We shared some good times playing Basketball and other sports, attending the same High School, working at the Pulp and Paper Mill, and hanging out with our downtown Bathurst friends. Condolence: I first met Blair 25 years ago when our two firms merged. As emerging rookies back then the firm place a group of us together in the NE corner of the floor. It was like our own mini bull pen. Even though we were all struggling to "make it" we had such good fun. Lots of laughs and teasing each other - all the while supporting each other. Our little group used to tease Blair about his in depth knowledge on any investment or product we were working with. He had a great voice & sometimes we would all sit and listen to him on the phone (without him being aware). Some of us even learned a thing or two. :) I'll never forgot the company ski trip to Whitefish when he first met Karen; watch them fall in love get married and raise a beautiful family together. Condolence: Just a note to let you know how valued Blair was. He helped my mom with her portfolio for more years than I can count, and did a great job for her. He was the most trusted of advisers, and will most certainly be missed. He spoke frequently about his family when we chatted, and you were obviously very important to him. Blair will be missed.

Condolence: I worked with Blair for his 25 years at BMO NB and we were 2 months apart in age so his sudden passing hits close to home. Blair was a quality person and a hard worker who I often saw in the office on weekends. I have a favorite picture on my computer of Blair and I in the skybox at a Blue Jay's game, good times, he will be missed.
