Obituary for Lee-Ann Doreen Prodahl

Lee-Ann Doreen Prodahl
Lee-Ann Prodahl
May 12th, 1993 - Friday, May 11th, 2018

Lee-Ann Doreen Prodahl was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She passed away suddenly one day shy of her 25th birthday surrounded by her loving family and the love of her life.

She is survived by her loving parents Debbie and Doug; her best friend and sister, Melissa Fraser (Joseph Fraser); her grandmother, Shirley Piper; and David – the true love of her life.

Lee-Ann had an amazing love and talent for competitive sports, beginning at a very young age with ringette, then adding in hockey, and rugby. She continued to play these sports until she went to college for nursing. Lee-Ann decided that the LPN Nursing Program at Bow Valley College was a great place to start. She only had two semesters left. Her goal was to finish the RN Program and eventually become a nurse practitioner. As her family and friends put it, “She would have made one hell of a nurse”!

Lee-Ann was known for having such an awesome and caring personality, people could feel her coming a mile away. She was generous with the homeless, giving them any food she had on her, or a good meal from school as the Mustard Seed is so close to Bow Valley College. She helped one of her favourite instructors at school with the Food Bank and ensured so many people got food who needed it. Many instructors at Bow Valley College loved Lee-Ann simply for who she was.

There is a lot Lee-Ann still wanted to do in her life, a life that was cut way too short. She was excited to be an aunt one day in the near future, she dreamed of marrying her love and having children with him. Melissa and Lee-Ann had a lot of future plans for when they had their own families.

Lee-Ann's Mom, Debbie and Dad, Doug were so excited to see her become a nurse and settle down with David and her two cats. They will cherish memories of their amazing daughter. The family will always maintain a relationship with David.

Lee-Ann's family would like to personally thank Calgary's Emergency Response teams and the Rockyview ICU team for their care and support.

Memorial Services to be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at DeWinton Community Hall (De Winton, Alberta) at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted by Calgary’s Mustard Seed for the Homeless in Lee-Ann's name, as this was a cause dear to her heart. There will be a no ob-ligation donation box at the service to assist the family in covering immediate costs related to Lee-Ann's passing. We encourage bright colours to be worn, as this is what Lee-Ann would have wanted.
