Robert Udo Pinkster
April 4, 1964 – May 11, 2018

Robert “Rob” Udo Pinkster passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He drew his last breath with his wife, Ger Pinkster, at his side.

A service to celebrate Rob’s life will be held at 1:30pm, Thursday, May 17 at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church, 3020 51 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada in Rob’s name.

Robert was born on April 4, 1964 in Edmonton, Alberta to Udo and Rita. On January 16, 1987 he married the love of his life, Ger Van Reenen, in Edmonton. Robert was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending days on his boat, fishing with his children, and helping anyone who needed an extra hand on a project.

Robert is survived by his wife of 31 years Ger; two sons Jordan Pinkster (Sandra) & Trevor Pinkster (Candace); stepson David Meindertsma (Vala); granddaughter Rowynn Pinkster; grandson Aiden Meindertsma; sisters, Gerda Eykelboom (Coen) and Herma Ratcliff (John); brother, Jerry Pinkster (Diana); mother Rita Pinkster; numerous nephews and nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Udo Pinkster and granddaughter, Makenna Meindertsma.
