Obituary for Sheila Joan Ford

Sheila Joan Ford
FORD – Sheila Joan
July 28, 1942 – Edmonton, AB
April 24, 2018 – Calgary, AB

With her family by her side, Sheila passed away on April 24, 2018 at the age of 75, the same way she lived her life; with grace & courage. Sheila was diagnosed with lung cancer, but she continued to show strength throughout her journey as she had through her entire life.

Sheila was born & raised in Edmonton, she went to College and spent several years in Red Deer, and ultimately moved to Calgary to be close to family, where she began her 45 year bookkeeping career. Sheila loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends, travelling, gardening and spending time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always up for a good card game.

Sheila will be missed by all whose lives she touched and is survived by her nephew Ryan Ford (Codie) and their son Luke; son David; and an Aunt and cousins in England. Sheila was predeceased by her parents Kenneth & Olivia Ford; and brother Raymond Ford.

Sheila's life was enriched by and shared with her dear friends through many avenues including her church, volunteering & business.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert McClure United Church (5510 26 Avenue NE) on Monday May 7th, 2018 at 11:00 am with Graveside Service to follow at Rockyview Garden of Peace Cemetery.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made in Sheila's name to The Salvation Army Agape Hospice (www.agapehospice.ca).
