Obituary for Bill Koyzan

Bill Koyzan
Koyzan, Bill
January 14, 1930 - March 26, 2018

With great sadness, the family of Bill Koyzan announces his unexpected passing in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 88. Left to mourn him is his wife of 63 years Wilda; and their children Cheryl (Hector), Leree, Bill (Lynn), and Wes (Sue). Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Susan. All of Bill's extended family will forever cherish his memory.

Bill worked for Canada Post as a Postal Carrier for 34 years and loved every day of it. He had a passion for gardening and kept his yard, flowers, and house immaculate. Bill was quite the storyteller and could easily captivate his listeners. He was known for being a social man, constantly meeting new people as he loved his independence. He could whip anyone playing crib, enjoyed playing with family or competing at the Legion. Bill was always happily whistling around the house and appreciated the love his family brought him.

Barbecuing and cooking large dinners was one of the many ways Bill showed his affection. He was extremely proud of the 67 foster children he and his wife Wilda raised, as he highly valued family. Bill was widely known for being dependable, never judgemental, always trustworthy and gentle. He carried these traits until the very end. Bill will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. To view and share photos, condolences and stories of Bill please visit www.choicememorial.com.
