March 14, 1947 - Saturday, March 24, 2018
Roy Wood of Airdrie Alberta passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 24th after a short battle with Cancer.
Roy loved cats, coffee and country music. He also enjoyed watching western movies and driving taxi. Roy lived his life how he wanted with no regrets.
Roy was born in Perth Ontario into a large family of eleven siblings. He is survived by his son John Wood (Boni), grandkids Victoria and Cody, and great granddaughter Avary; his daughter Suzanne White (Neil) and grandkids Jacob and Brooke; brothers Lawrence (Miriam) Carl Wood and sister Iona Farrell; close friend Sandra Folstrom, and Jill Bisson. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Lulu Pearl Wood; brothers Arden, Lemuel, Eldon, Earl and Lloyd Wood; sisters Evelyn Wood and Elaine Fournier.
Roy was one tough cowboy and will be dearly missed. There will be no immediate service, however the family intends on holding a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are gratefully accepted by The Meow Foundation (https://www.meowfoundation.com/) or a charity of your choice.
