January 11, 1926 – March 18, 2018
A big man with a big heart, Howard Nash passed away peacefully at the Father Lacombe Care Centre on March 18th, 2018. Howard was loved as the husband to Jean, brother to five, dad to six, grandpa to eleven and great-grandpa to one.
We will each cherish our special memories of Howard. His stories of Alberta farm life will live on as we recall the way he told them with his quiet chuckle. From his early years traveling the prairies as a landman, to his latter days with grandchildren on his lap, Howard’s family meant everything to him. In his 92 years he endured great joy and tremendous heartache with equal dignity. Despite years of health challenges, his sense of humour remained sharp to the end. We will remember Howard’s wide smile, his ever-crooked baseball cap, his harmonica duets with grandchildren, and his generous spirit.
A funeral service for Howard Nash will be held at Deer Park United Church, 77 Deerpoint Rd SE, at 3.00pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Father Lacombe Care Centre Foundation (flccfoundation.ca).
