Shoes!

I met Steve through his sister Karen and one of my earliest memories was helping Karen & Steve  move from their apartment on 14th Avenue to Huntley Road in NE Calgary.  So one Saturday (least I think it was) Steve borrowed a truck from work and Steve, Chris Stockley, Karen and myself were helping load the truck.  Steve tells me look in the pan of the truck.  I looked in and then looked at Steve and we burst out laughing.... Steve had taken all of Karen's shoes (and there were many pairs) and tossed them into the pan of the truck. He hadn't bothered to bag them or box them - there they all were.  His litney of jokes about all the shoes ensued.I said what happens if they fly out of the truck going up Deerfoot Trail?  This grin came on his face and you just knew every bump in the road was going to be hit on the way to Huntley Road.

Steve loved to laugh and joke and he loved to make other people laugh!  Once he had you going he'd nudge you with his arm and you'd start laughing all over again!

I'm glad I had a chance to chat with you at Karen's 50th birthday! I'll always remember the fun times we had when we were young.  Rest in peace!
