It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl D. Semon at the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 79 years, surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Heike, Daughter Tanja (Terry), Son Mark (Michele) and cherished grandsons Kaelin, Karsen, Kamren and Gabriel. He is also survived by nine brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl was a devoted father and enjoyed camping with his family. In the evenings he would entertain campers with his guitar as he sang songs around the campfire. He was a spiritual man and enjoyed works by Dr. Wayne Dyer and Eckhart Tolle. "Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body, rather than a body with a soul." (Wayne Dyer).

In keeping with Carl's wishes there will not be a service, however, a private "Celebration of Life" will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society (www.calgaryhumane.ca/donate).
