Condolence: I was so very sorry to learn of Jill’s passing. She was the senior legal assistant at our firm when I joined it as a student and then a lawyer. She was unfailingly helpful to a beginning lawyer like me, and I greatly benefited from her years of experience. I remember her beautiful manners, and she never failed to refer to me as “Miss Robinson” when speaking to a client or a lawyer at another firm, even though I was young enough to be her daughter and a brand new lawyer. She also had a wonderful sense of humour (Linda, remind me to tell you the story about the firm’s Christmas card with the rabbit on it), and as her obituary mentioned, she was very wise and very kind.
