January 18th, 1955 - Tuesday, February 13th, 2018
Catherine Rose Moyer (nee Schaeffer) passed away at the age of 63 years at Foothills Hospital on February 13, 2018 following a long hard fought battle against cancer. Cathy was born January 18, 1955 to Joan and Fred Schaeffer in Nelson, BC then moved to Cranbrook, BC.
Cathy will be sadly missed by husband Ed Moyer, daughters Joanne (Landon) King, Marcy (Dan) Moir, Katie (Josh) Sauve and her beautiful grandchildren, Damin, Jade, Malia, Braxton, Declan, Calin, Coltin, Adelynn. Cathy is also survived by two brothers Kieth (Sherry) Schaeffer, Darcy (Janice) Schaeffer and sister Bobby (Dave) Hamilton and many cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.
She made friends easily and would do anything to help anybody. She always put others ahead of herself. Cathy loved to go south to warmer climates every spring but didn’t get that wish this year. She had planned to go to Nashville in June and was very excited about that trip and all of the lovely ladies that were accompanying her. Many thanks to the hard working Doctors and Nurses at the Foothills Hospital
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Pineridge Community Hall (6024 Rundlehorn Dr. NE).
