Obituary for Glenn Michael Webber

Glenn Michael Webber
Glenn Webber
May 12, 1963 - February 11, 2018

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Glenn "Vebb" Webber on February 11, 2018 at the age of 54. Surrounded by friends and family, Glenn passed away suddenly due to a heart attack. Glenn is survived by his wife Donann Webber; sons Zac Webber (Emily) and Mitchel Webber; brothers John Webber (Kelly) and Bob (Kim) Webber; father and mother in-law Don and Marylynn Peers; and brother in-law Graham Peers (Penny). Glenn will also be dearly missed by his nephews and nieces Shawn, Jason, Theresa, Kami, Justin, and Brendan; special family friends Darin (Carla) McKinstry and their sons Jackson and Ryely; and by his many other friends. Glenn was predeceased by his father Don Webber and mother Billy (Margaret) Webber.

Glenn was a simple guy who loved his bike, Jeep, The Bugs Bunny & Road Runner Show, Crown Royal, Alexander Keith’s, The Oakland Raiders, his long blonde feathered hair in high school, Canada Task Force 2, and above all else - his family.

What you may not know is that Glenn tripped everyday going up the stairs, loved building Lego, and was a bit of a hoarder, a bit of a dork, shy and a softy. He called Donann his “pretty little angel eyes” and she called him “my Vebbie”. Every Sunday he would watch the Walking Dead with Donnie and his boys. Vebb will be missed forever by all.

The family would like to thank the first responders including EMS & Fire Station 14, as well as the emergency services staff at the Rockyview Hospital for the care and professionalism they displayed during this traumatic time.

A Memorial Service will be held at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street SE, Calgary) on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm. If you wish, please join the family at Schank’s South to share a story and raise a glass in honor of the one and only Vebb.

If so desired, memorial donations in Glenn's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Canada https://woundedwarriors.ca, The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada http://www.heartandstroke.ca, or a charity of your choice.
