Condolence From: Mike Greene
Condolence: My deepest condolences to everybody. I just heard the news and it literally knocked me over. Iron Balls taught me a lot as a young Soldier, I tried my damnedest to live up to his standard, couldn't quite achieve it but who could??
I remember when he was CSM and I was in trouble, I had to report to his office and behind his desk was a dartboard with punishments on it and a little thin line that said get off scot-free, I threw the dart and received one week of Base Duty Corporal. Rest in peace Sir... rest in peace!!

Condolence: So Sad to get this news today. We were just speaking about Mike on Saturday at the 50th Anniversary of 1 Service Battalion where Mike served many years. We had some good laughs at the stories and interaction with Mike. He was a tough leader but had a soft side for use young soldiers and was always fair. My last chat to Mike was in the last 90's when we was working as a CFP. Mike was a good man, and my heart goes out to his family. Rest In Peace Soldier, your watch is over.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing at such a young age.
For many years, he was one of the consistent foundations of The Calgary Highlanders and I will always remember him for his sense of humour. He was always good at his job but also reminded soldiers not to take life too seriously - be it by a joke, teasing or marking snowshoes left or right (Note: they are interchangeable). It was common to hear his laughter all over the armoury.
He was, simply, a good man and he will be missed.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I remember Mike from his days as CSM of Supply Coy. He is one of the few people I know who was really dedicated to the job; 100 % was only normal for Mike and usually tried for more. Mike, your job here is finished, well done.. Stand Easy.
