The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael McIntee can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Great Man

I Rest in peace Mike.  I didn't know he was from the Wainwright area and on exercise I was his driver only once in black out drive. As we bounced down the road he says I think you want to move to the real road and not the tank path it could be  little smoother. Then he knew I was green to the field and sent me to an old duece and a half with a set of keys and asked me to start it. I search the entire dash looking for a key hole and had to ask a young Private where it was. He laughed sat iin the truck turned a knob, pushed the pedal and it started. Welcome to Warrants gotcha ya class he said and carried on. I had nothing but the utmost respect for Mike but learned quickly to question some of his orders to ensure I knew what I was doing after that. My condolences to Mikes' Family and friends including former comrades.
