Essays (Isaiah) Tekle was born in Asmara, Eritrea on January 17, 1972 and passed away January 22, 2018. He is survived by his wife Simret and his children Joseph, Faith and Eliora.

Isaiah studied communication at Lethbridge University. He and Simret got married on August 13, 2005.

Isaiah was immensely talented; fueled by his motivating visions and dreams. His charismatic personality opened many doors for him, meaning he was usually involved in many projects at once. He constantly strived for excellence.

One of his many talents was cooking. He was a passionate cook who enjoyed preparing fresh food every day. For every meal, he would set the table and insist that the family enjoy their meal together. Visitors would be served delicacies and Isaiah aimed for the 5 star experience. He was a meticulous man.

Isaiah’s most cherished memory was when he and his family went on a road trip to Victoria. They made memorable stops in Kelowna and Vancouver on their journey.

Isaiah was dedicated dad. His first born son Joseph once said “He was a very loving father to me. I’ve wanted to do so many things with him. Dad was so caring, loving compassionate, humble and open to others”.
