The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

I am saddened by the loss of my glamorous and talented Aunt Jane. I have always been grateful for how she and Alan (and cousins Rick & Leslie) took me in when a summer student job brought me to Calgary, giving me my first opportunity to get to know them all, and for the fun we had that summer. She later provided my daughter Colleen with her first real painting tools; it’s perhaps no coincidence that both Colleen and her granddaughter Vanessa now work in artistic fields. We’re especially appreciative of Vanessa’s loving care and attention to her grandma during her last years.
