Hildegard Grey
August 31st, 1955 - Saturday, February 24th, 2018
Hildegard Grey, age 62, passed away on Saturday February 24, 2018 surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 31, 1955 in Nipiwan, SK born to Herman and Agatha Felde.
Hilda truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She enjoyed being with family and friends, and her grandchildren gave her such joy. She enjoyed playing games and listening to music but mostly loved to bake and work in the garden.
Hilda will be remembered as a selfless mother to all. She would sacrifice all her needs for the good of her family. She was independent and a fighter, she never gave up even when times were tough.
She is survived by her mother, Agatha Felde, daughter Destiny (Warren)Schnell, son Christopher (Donna)Grey, her grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to pay respects may do so at First Choice Memorial 4715 13th St NE, Calgary, AB on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church (66 7th St NE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday March 1, 2018 at 10:00 am then a Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
The family would also like to send a special thanks to Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Palliative Home Care, South Health Campus and Dulcina Hospice (Covenant Care) for the nurturing, compassionate and supportive care.
