Edna Wilson
June 27, 1945 – November 27, 2017

Edna (Eddie) Wilson passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta.
She was born on June 27, 1945 in St. Boniface, Manitoba to parents Edith & Melford Favel. Edna attended school in Seamans, Saskatchewan, where she later met Joseph Harty. Together they had 5 children. Edna moved to Medicine Hat in 1973, making that her home until moving to Calgary in October of 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memory Alvin Schneider, her friend and companion of 22 years; her 5 children Colleen Weiss (Ernie), Veronica Venables (Darcy), Glenda Tsimaras, Angela Bedford (Chris), Desmond Wilson; 6 siblings Betty, Eleanor, Cheryl, Billy, Melissa, and Guy; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Edna was predeceased by her parents and her brother Gerry.

Edna was a kind, giving person with a beautiful heart, and had many friends. She had a free spirit and loved the simple pleasures in life, such as laughing with her friends and family. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren, playing games with them and watching them grow. She was diagnosed with Lupus in 2002 and fought a good fight for the last 15 years.

A date for Edna’s Celebration of Life will be set for spring of 2018 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. We will advise the specific date to family and friends. Those whose lives Edna touched will be invited to join us to honor her memory at that time.
