Russ Kuykendall

I have spoken with Sue to express my regrets for her loss, and I want to let other members of Paul's family know he will be sorely missed. I was privileged to become acquainted with Paul as we both attended Rosscarrock Church of Christ. Paul and I shared a love of music and I certainly appreciated and enjoyed his remarkable gifts a lead guitarist and musician. As a young person, Paul had moved in the same Winnipeg musical circles that gave birth to Burton Cummings and The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive. Paul had played with many from those Winnipeg circles and had travelled from one end of North America to the other with a variety of rock bands performing original material as well as covers. Imagine my surprise when I attended services at Rosscarrock and heard someone of Paul's calibre playing lead guitar and improvising riffs on the fly while accompanying congregational singing or during instrumental interludes. What a talent! But more than this, Paul loved his family, and desired the best for each one. Paul was a very principled man, and his principles were informed by his Christian faith. Above all, Paul loved his Lord Jesus in whose arms he now rests and whom he trusted for his eternal hope. His friend and brother in Christ, Russ
