Condolences

Condolence From: Polly Brown
Condolence: Dear Ellen, I am so sorry for your loss. I remembered that you and Nick worked with International Students and once put me in contact with a Chinese student who was at the University of Massachusetts, near us. Ralph went to be with the Lord on Oct. 24th, so I am only too aware of what you are experiencing. there are so many empty spaces, so many things he used to take care of, so many things we always did together. It is really so hard to lose that life partner, you have really lost part of yourself, almost like an amputation. So I pray that you will know God's everlasting arms holding you up and carrying you along through this hard, hard adjustment. "My heart and my flesh may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Condolence: Dear "Miss Brell", May God comfort you in this time of loss and in the coming days of adjustment. I wanted to thank you for being the math teacher who helped me understand. I remember that you became a math teacher because a college professor had helped you understand and you wanted to help all those like me who had never been able to understand. My mother nearly died of shock when I came home with an "A" in the first grading period of 7th grade because I had always gotten "C"s and "D"s in math. Thank-you, "Kathy"

Condolence: Dear "Miss Brell" -- As you know, I never met Nick. But I have fond memories of my favorite math teacher at Murree Christian School in the mountains of northern Pakistan, in the years before you married. I'm very happy for the years you had together. Please also know that you are very much in the thoughts and prayers of your former students at this time.

Condolence: Dear Ellen, Having been married now for 18 years I can feel your loss and pain better than as a single woman. God gave you a wonderful opportunity to be married. I am sure that you will miss Nick very much. May God provide you with strength and help in your time of need. Love, Barb

Condolence: Kari and family, praying for you at this time. May the memories you have be shared and enjoyed. It was a pleasure to get to know Nick on night shift at Bethany. We shared many visits at all hours. I appreciated his sense of humour and his smile! May you find comfort and strength at this time.

Condolence: Dear Ellen, So sorry to hear of Nick's passing but rejoice he is now with the Lord Jesus. May our Lord give you and your family His great love and comfort as well as many happy memories. Nick was candidate secretary when we joined ISMC in 1992...25 years ago. I can still see Nick and you sitting in our living room in Oakville as we went over some of the policies and information for the mission. Lots of fond memories as we stayed with you overnight and visited in Calgary before going to the staff conference in Three Hills. May our Lord take you by the hand and hug you tight in these coming days. With our love and prayers, Dave, Linda, Rachel and Jonathan

Condolence: Hello Ellen and family: I just remember with warmth our visit and Nicks easy sense of humor. He had a way of making people feel relaxed and enjoyed. May the Lord be your comfort in the time ahead and you adjust to life here on earth, while Nick is probably dancing with Jesus and loved ones gone before. Sending you a hug, Marianne
