November 23, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Hoare on November 23, 2017 at the age of 81.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Doreen, sons Ian (Helen), Gary (Jennifer) and Martin (Diane), and granddaughters Michelle, Nicole, Ira, Kassandra, Jorja and Dakota. He was predeceased by his parents Gladys and Harry, brothers Bryan and Bernard, and sister Barbara.
Dave worked as a mechanical design draftsman for many years, both in England and in Calgary. In 1974 Dave and Doreen immigrated to Canada with their three sons. In later years, Dave enjoyed golf, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at Sundance Lake Community Hall (63 Suncrest Way SE, Calgary) on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm with tributes starting at 2:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Chinook Care Centre Hospice for their care and kindness. In memory of Dave, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Chinook Care Centre Hospice or Prostate Cancer Canada.
